I purchased the Strive Vienna as I needed warm supportive slippers, in a plain colour. I wear custom orthotics for my problematic feet and knee issues, but separate orthotics with slippers are not compatible. I’m really so happy to have found the Strive Vienna; they’re very comfortable and supportive, and don’t exacerbate my knee pain. (On cold winter days I needed warm socks too, so might have to go up a size next time.)
Customer Service is excellent; I returned a different pair of slippers as not such a great fit for me personally, and was refunded very promptly.
Firstly the customer care from The Slipper Box was pretty amazing, including getting a thank you from the company director. A lot of companies now do a very good online service but this ranks as the best, including arriving even faster than quoted. Now the slippers. They're not cheap but they look good and are built to last. I've walked the dog around the park in mine! They do take some getting used to. I have a normal instep and the built-up instep was strange for a few days. It does take the weight off the ball of your foot and place it at the centre. A size five is a size five and if you had a very broad foot you may find them a little tight, I find them nice and snug. They are exceptionally warm. So, it took a few days, or even a week, to get used to the new sole and now I love them. After lockdown, I look forward to trying them out on tired feet.
Warm and cosy
