Why We Love Our Office Cat, Aslan
Welcome to this month's slipper blog with a twist! Here at our office, we love cats, and we especially love our new office cat. Aslan is a two-year-old Ginger Maine Coon and he's brought lots of joy to our workplace. Today, we're celebrating Love Your Pet Day, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to write a blog post about why we love our beloved office cat. Here, we'll share some stories about Aslan, as well as tips for showing your pet some extra love today.
Pets have been a part of human life for thousands of years. Animals have been right by our side ever since the first moment of civilization. Consider the fact that wolves lived among humans for centuries, and there’s proof of humans and dogs and cats being together as long as 12,000 years ago.
They provided emotional comfort and companionship and even protection. Fast forward to the early 2000s when a woman by the name of Colleen Paige decided to start National Love Your Pet Day in order to bring attention to the importance of loving your pet and treating them with kindness. The day is celebrated annually on February 20th and provides pet owners with an opportunity to celebrate their furry friends. People all over the world are encouraged to spoil their pets with special treats, and new toys, just don't let them chew your new pair of slippers!
Aslan is our new office cat, and we couldn't be happier. He's a 2-year-old Maine Coon and is already making himself at home. He's a big boy at a little under 6kg and will continue to grow until he is 6 years of age.
Aslan is never allow in our warehouse(s) so your beloved new slippers, boots or shoes will be pet free when they leave us. Most of the time, Aslan can be found napping on our office sofa, or curled up in his own bed. He loves to explore the office and even wants his own pair of slippers! We're not so sure! He seems to enjoy the attention and loves to be petted and cuddled when it's time for a break from work. We're so glad he chose us!
